Lately, I've been listening to The Writer's Almanac on podcast. Garrison Keillor does a great job with these little 5 minute blurbs that talk about the birthdays of literary leaders, a bit about their lives, and then he reads a poem. I enjoy listening to these podcasts while taking my daily walk or sprucing up the house.
Today I learned a tidbit about Isabel Allende.One of her quotes ... not really suitable for a Today's Phrase ... got me to giggling:
Erotica is using a feather,
pornography is using the whole chicken.
That was enough to have me Google her online, where I ran into another quote that starting me laughing all over again. She just seems to "hit the spot" for me.
For women the best aphrodisiacs are words.
The G-spot is in the ears.
He who looks for it below there is wasting his time.
Methinks it may be time to add a book or two of hers to my wishlist.
