Do You Believe in Magic?

As I was out on my walk this morning, the snow began to drift. By the time I got home, the shoulders of my black coat and my gloves were dusted with snowflakes.

I don't know about you ... but I find a bit of magic in glittering snowflakes.

What an amazing image! You don't say it's a macro, so what is it? Did the new snow just happen to collect in that pattern on the grass? Am I being too mired in the real world? If so, shut my mouth, because I totally believe in magic & I love the quote by Dahl.

Well, I did use my macro lens ... but of the 25 photos I took, this is the only one that's _mostly_ in focus. That's actually a tiny flake that landed on my glove. This snow is magical when seen one flake at a time. But I tell ya, I'm darn sick of these piles and piles of dirty ice!

Yeah, dirty ice would be quite the buzz kill.
