I added this new photograph to Creative Journey in my Photography section, My Nose in a LilacSpring in north Idaho always means lilacs. And this is my favorite place to be — with my nose stuck right in the center of a cluster!
There are tons of white and pink and light purple and dark purple lilac bushes in my town. They line the streets, form living fences between neighbor's yards.
Spokane even has a whole festival named for the flower.
Their scent is enchanting ... though too much of a good thing can give a person a headache!
Still, I can't resist sticking my nose in the center of a cluster any time I'm around the lilacs. Just watch out for the bees!
