Rayon Swirls

This embroidery on paper was done with a shiny variegated rayon thread in yellow and coral. I scanned this card instead of photographing it, so the colors read rather flat. In person, it's quite stunning on the blue card stock and very silky to the touch.

These small pieces are very satisfying to create. I like the variety of designs, from simple to complex. It's fun choosing threads from my miscellaneous collection. They're quick. And I find them quite pretty.

Plus, poking holes in card stock with a sharp object is a socially acceptable way to release aggression.  😏
