New year, new set of goals.
Word of the Year - Retire
Dale and I are in retirement, but I'm not very good at acting like I am. So this year I'm going to practice:
- Learning to have fewer demands on myself
- Retiring objects and dreams that no longer serve me
- Retiring and surrendering situations I cannot change
- Retiring, releasing, and lowering high expectations of myself and others
- Experiencing heartwarming retirement activities
Phrases of the Year:
"What can I retire today?"
"Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth."
(from The Desiderata by Max Ehrmann)
Symbol of the Year:
This means New Beginning
