I added a new photograph to Creative Journey in my Photography section, Peeling BarkThis bark intrigued me. Layers and layers, all seeming to come undone, yet sticking to the trunk and limbs of this young tree.
Somehow, it seems like there's a metaphor here.
Like my eldest daughter: a young woman, strong and vibrant and just ready to take off in her life ... but hampered by past traumas and spurred on my fresh growth.
On the surface, it looks like she's come undone. Underneath, she has the strength to survive.
Hold on, Hon, hold on!
