Eugene Park Tour - Brewer Park (Part 1)

Dale and I stopped by this neighborhood park to eat lunch on his birthday last month. Brewer is a small 2 acre park nestled in the Cal Young part of town.

It has a play structure that includes the typical swings and slides, etc. But it also has this circular monkey bar set and a fun "telephone" tube that can send your voice from one end of the play yard to the other without use of electronics. It reminds me of a phone from a Dr. Suess book.

Most of the park consists of open green space surrounded by a nice walkway. Several neighbors were out walking their dogs on the path. Another was throwing a Frisbee for their dog to catch.

There are some lovely old picturesque evergreens on the edge of the greenspace, forming a peek hole to the playground.

This park is known for it community artwork in the form of hand painted tiles placed into the concrete walkway to welcome guests. I'll blog about that later.

But at least one neighbor chose to decorate the fence with artwork of another kind.
