The Easter Chick

Dale and I spent Easter morning geocaching, with Jodie as our chauffeur. We searched for a dozen or so caches in the countryside south of Eugene, just outside Cottage Grove. We found around 10.

We were lucky that it wasn't pouring rain most of the morning, but it was soggy! We searched for a couple large caches hidden in fields and meadows. All of us ended up with soaked socks and cold wet feet. Those two caches weren't worth it. They were the ones we couldn't find. It figures.

This concrete bird was my favorite cache container of the day. It was on a frontage road at the base of a tree in a little nest of branches.

Since we didn't gather for a family meal this year, caching was a lovely alternative way to spend an Easter morning.

Then we went home and crashed, binging on two seasons of an old TV series.

Hallelujah anyway.
