Have a spooooktacular time tonight!
Charnel Mulligan Park is the last of the Eugene parks Dale and I visited in August 2024.
A chessboard built into a tabletop
and this fantastic faucet in the sand pit.
It sports a huge grassy playfield
along with an extensive climbing apparatus for the little kids
and a lighted basketball court
While we were there, the last of the purple cornflowers were blooming in the flower beds along the walking path.
It's another great neighborhood park in Eugene and an excellent spot for our picnic lunch.
What I like about autumn mornings is that I get to see the sunrise. Or in this case, the sun's light reflecting on the clouds to the west.
It fills my heart just as it fills the sky.I love living in Oregon!
Look what I grew this summer!
:: patting myself on the back ::
Is my thumb getting slightly greener?
Agape - Love for all
Eros - True, passionate love
Forsaken - Broken hearted love
Envy - Obsessive love
Storge - Love for my granddaughters
Last Sunday my eldest came by for a crafternoon.
I put together one more small pumpkin puzzle yesterday evening.
I got my Covid and Flu vaccines yesterday afternoon. A fever came on during the night. So I'm taking a "day off" from all my regular tasks and enjoying "puzzles and podcasts."
I finished two more puzzles from my set of 12 small autumn puzzles. The fabric pumpkins puzzle was only 150 pieces.
Last May I put together a "stationery kit" for my eldest granddaughter, Melody. Yesterday, I received my first mail from her!
I get to see the two out-of-state grandkids at Thanksgiving. They'll celebrate my birthday with me.
Hooray!
In Oregon, we all get to vote by mail. Dale and I chose to use the drop box at our branch library.
Now that the sunrise is after 7:30 am, I have much better odds of seeing it than in summer. I rolled a seven this morning!
With the change of seasons, I thought I'd pull out some Autumn puzzles.
I bought a collection of 12 small puzzles a year or two ago. Time to crack the seal! I started with one that's 300 pieces.
Dale and I visited Palouse Falls State Park way back in May 2023. We were driving home from Idaho where we'd just celebrated our eldest grandchild's birthday. We took our time that magical day, driving side roads, avoiding a wildfire, and taking in Mother Nature.
