I added this new photograph to Creative Journey in my Photography section, Embroidery: ThimblePads
Sometimes a thimble is just too cumbersome to wear while doing cross-stitch. And since tapestry needles are blunt rather than sharp, a thimble is usually not necessary anyway.
But on days where I am able to stitch for hours and hours (rare and wonderfully peaceful days), the tip of my middle finger can often get very sore from where I use it to push the needle from the bottom of the fabric to the top. These little ThimblePads are light and easy to use.
Geez. I'm beginning to sound like a commercial.
In any rate, the leather texture makes for a cool close-up photo.
