I added this new photograph to Creative Journey in my Photography section, Embroidery: Thread HeavenSometimes, even after you strip the thread, it does not wish to lie quietly.
This is especially true with persnickety fibers like blending filaments or rayons. They have minds of their own. They like to kink and twist and do exactly what they want to do, when they want to do it!
A bit like teenage girls.
That's when I get out my Thread Heaven. This is a waxy-like substance (sparkly, too!) that you drag your fibers across. This puts just a hint of conditioner on the threads and helps them calm down. They become more supple and glide more easily through the ground fabric.
Works wonders.
