Mickey!

Another mouse is in the house! This time it's an unusual depiction of Mickey.

This is another in the series of official Disney puzzles that I bought at Dollar Tree. This 500 piece puzzle was quite a challenge and took a couple days to finish.

The image appears to be a photograph of some kind of fabric or rug made from yarn. There aren't many main colors, but each has a definite texture. It took quite a bit of concentration and trial-and-error to finally figure this one out. I think it would be hard for a nine-year-old, even though the box says a kid could do it. 

Check out the beautiful mottled background! All the pieces are approximately the same size and shape, so much patience was required. Thankfully, it never got to the total frustration state ... but it got close! This jigsaw was very satisfying to finally solve.
