Currin Bridge

While Jodie and I were out enjoying the countryside on her birthday, we stopped by several of Oregon's famous covered bridges. Seven or eight of them are nearby.

The current version of Currin Bridge was built in 1925 It replaced the original bridge that was built in 1883. It's named after an early pioneer family.

The Currin Bridge is the only bridge in Oregon that is painted two different colors. It has white portals and red sides. It's closed to auto traffic now, but pedestrians can still use it. It's quite beautiful, with the natural light coming in around the roofline. This bridge is in the National Register of Historic Places.
