Look how much my pumpkin patch has grown since I last posted on August 22! The patch is starting to billow over the sides of the garden spot.
I'm delighted! The leaves are big and green and lovely. There are now a lot of blooms hiding under the foliage. Yesterday, when I watered, the pollinators were out in force. Do you see what's peeking out from under that huge leaf?
Our very first pumpkin! I squealed when I saw it. I will have some homegrown pumpkins this Fall after all. Well, mini pumpkins.
Look what's starting at the next blossom over. Adorable!
This is the first time I've ever attempted to grow pumpkins. I'm very happy with the progress.
